The goal was to create an outdoor living space that was as large as possible and where water would be a highlight. The central area of the garden living space consists of a terrace area, surrounded on three sides by invigorating water and, behind this, a second border of lively green. The areas jutting out slightly make the wooden deck appear as if it were floating on the water. By means of non-standard size, custom-made stepping stones, placed equidistantly with exacting precision, that lead to the wooden deck, one crosses over the water to access a secondary area behind the usable swimming pool. This location offers the latest afternoon sunshine and the greatest possible perceptible spatial depth of the garden. A further steppingstone axis marks the side access to the garden, thus integrating it into the concept. The podium at the point where the living room exits onto the terrace, which lies higher, ties in the elongated living room stairs and then runs along the entire facade of the house. The area affords numerous places to sit and may be outfitted with plant containers and other accessories. The planting breaks up the straight linear structures. It makes use of plants that climb along the custom made shielding fence for privacy and also of grasses and bushes found at the edge of the forests.
